Signed, Sealed, Delivered is nothing short of adorable and good for the heart. Its upbeat music and hilarious, real life circumstances give this new series all the makings of a great sitcom that could be around for many seasons to come. I greatly enjoyed this episode and look forward to seeing more. The dialog is clean and free of bad language and sexual innuendos- which is a must when it comes to letting anything come though our television. Signed, Sealed, Delivered is definitely targeted toward women but is a show the whole family could enjoy.
The new original series is a wonderful combination of romance, comedy and drama that follows the lives of four postal detectives who transform themselves into a team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow always on time.
The team includes charming Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius), the group's leader is a man of faith who prayerfully approaches his work with the goal of making a difference in people's lives; new team member, Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth), a technophile who brings 21st century sensibility to the group; free-spirited, “girl next door” Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe) who has a photographic memory; and lovable Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson), a master in conventional research methods.
In this particular episode, the teams is given an envelope that ultimately is used to unite a couple with Down Syndrome in marriage. After years of waiting, the contents of the envelope give the bride-to-be the courage she's needed for years to take that leap. (aawwww)
