So many people look forward to the weekend. I, however, look forward to Monday. I love starting a new week of school and delight in setting new goals for everyone. But perhaps my favorite, most favorite of all things I do on Monday mornings is The List. I sit at our book covered dining room table, with coffee in hand and make a list of things to accomplish this week. Some things are obvious, like laundry and dusting. Other things, like trying a new craft idea from Pinterest, aren't quite priority but I reaaaallllly wan to try it, so it goes on The List. Next to everything on The List I draw little boxes that will later house my checkmarks of accomplishment. Ahhh, the checkmark- another one of my favorite things. :)
The List helps me keep priorities in line during the week and being able to see that I actually have accomplished something aids in rebuking that "I've been doing stuff all day. Why does it seem like nothing is done???" syndrome. It's not just me who suffers from this, right?
How do you keep track of what must be done?
Definitely a list maker here! If it doesn't go on my list, it doesn't get done:)
ReplyDeleteI am a kindred spirit in the list making, check mark camp! Even with these tools, I seldom seem to get enough checked off. But at least when my husband comes home and asks what I've done and can go down the list and tell him!
